Dimensions:
A 19th century, beechwood butter roller with a carved design. This would have been used for impressing a design around the edge of a block of butter. The roller is well carved with a band of pineapples and the pineapple was used as a symbol of welcome. It dates from c.1890 and it is in excellent, usable condition.
