A small, early Victorian carved wooden butter print. This piece is very well carved, in beechwood, with a swan. The carving is quite deep and it is very well detailed. It dates from c.1850. There is slight staining, to the reverse of the print and there were some worm holes but these have been treated and filled with wax. There is also very fine cracking to the wood but the cracks have not opened up.
