An early 20th century butter dish with a ceramic centre and a carved wooden surround. This piece dates from c.1910. The ceramic dish is decorated with a blue transfer print of the willow pattern. The reverse is was marked ‘ENGLAND’ in blue print although only the ‘GLAND’ is visible. The wooden surround is carved, in beechwood, with the word ‘Butter’. Both the dish and surround are in very good condition.
