One from an interesting collection of 18th century Delft tiles depicting men on horseback. Each tile is 5 inch (or 12.7cm.) square and is hand painted in manganese. They are Dutch and date from c.1760.

This example: Man firing pistol, on rearing horse. 

Condition: Chipping to one corner and two small chips to rim. Also mark to the face where something has touched the glaze in the firing. Fine hairline in glaze.
