A small, 19th century wooden oatmeal roller. These were used for crushing the oats to make porridge but they are usually much larger. This is a very small example and could possibly have been made for a child to use. It is English and it dates from c.1860.
There is a chip to the grooves at one end of the roller. Other than that it is in good condition.
