A very deep, 19th century, French copper egg whisking bowl. This shape of egg bowl is quite different the the usual and the French have a name for it which literally translates as a ‘chicken’s bum’. This one is made from a heavy gauge of copper, it has a rolled rim and a substantial brass loop for hanging. It dates from c.1860 and it is in very good condition.
