A nineteenth century, French copper salmon kettle. This is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, and it dates from c.1880. It has brass handles to the ends of the pan and also to the lid and these are the typical French shape. It is in excellent condition and although it hasn’t been recently re-tinned the tinning is still in very good, usable condition. It comes with a drainer but this is not original to the piece. It is a later, aluminium replacement.
Dimensions: Length of pan 59.2cm. Width 20cm. Depth of pan 12cm. Overall length including the handles 64.3cm. Overall height including the handles 17.5cm.
