Code: K22780
A small, English copper saucepan and cover with a pouring spout. This is marked, to the base, with the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams. The lid is stamped with “1 1/2” which should relate to the capacity. The pan is well made, from quite a heavy gauge of copper and it has castellated seams. The handle is turned from rosewood and this is attached by an attractive, heart shaped, copper fitting. It dates from c.1860. There is a crack in the wooden handle but otherwise the piece is in very good condition and the interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used.
Dimensions: Diameter of pan 12cm. Depth of pan 9.5cm. Overall length of pan and handle 28.5cm.
