An unusual shaped, French copper, pie plate. This dates from c.1860 and it is made from a heavy gauge of copper. It has a small, folding brass, loop handles which is attached by quite a primitive, copper fitting. The sides of the plate slope quite severely and the rim is rolled. There is a tiny split in the rim, by the handle, but other than this the piece is in very good condition. The interior has been re-tinned, in the traditional manner, so that it can be used.
