A good quality, 19th century, English copper preserve pan. This is marked, to the base, with a monogram “S W S & B” which is the mark of the Birmingham company William Soutter and Sons. It is made from a heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1880. It has the typical, English form of brass handles to either side, and a rolled rim. There is very minor scratching to the copper, from use, but otherwise it is in excellent condition.
