A nineteenth century, English copper saucepan. This piece is made from a heavy gauge of copper and it has castellated seams around the base and up the side. It dates from c.1860. The steel handle is hollow and this allows the heat to disperse faster when the pan is in use. The pan is 19.5cm. diameter at its’ widest part by 15.5cm. high. The overall height, including the handle, is 35cm. And the overall width is 29cm. It is in excellent condition and although it hasn’t recently been re-tinned the tinning is still in good enough condition for the pan to be used.
