French copper casserole

Code: E18022

SOLD

A French copper, shallow stockpot or casserole. This is made from a heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1890. It has the typical, French form of brass handles to the lid and sides of the pot. The lid is stamped with a number ’26’ which relates to the diameter of the pot in centimetres.

It measures 26cm. diameter by 24.4cm. deep. The overall dimensions, including the handles are: Height 17cm. Width 35.5cm.

There is very slight denting to the lid and the base of the pan is not totally flat so it would be fine to use on gas but not on an Aga or ceramic hob. The interior has been re-tinned quite recently.

Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £30. Most of Western Europe add £10.
