A nineteenth century, French copper colander. This piece has a steel loop handle, for hanging, which is attached by a fairly primitive copper fitting. The rim is wired and the piece dates from c.1860. There is some minor surface marking to the copper but otherwise it is in very good condition. The tinning, to the interior, is still quite good and the piece could be used.
