A nineteenth century, French copper colander. This is made from a substantial gauge of copper and it has quite rustic style, steel handles. It dates from c.1850. It is a very useful shape as, with this style of handle, it will happily sit over a large saucepan. It is in excellent condition and the interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used.
Dimensions: Diameter of colander 27.5cm. Total width across the handles 38.2cm. Depth of colander 111cm. Total height including the handles 14cm.
