A good quality, 19th century, French copper cutlet pan. This is stamped with the manufacturers mark “GRANDS MAGASINS DU LOUVRE PARIS” and it dates from c.1880. Pieces from this maker are usually very good quality and this is no exception. It is also stamped with a number “20” and this relates to the internal diameter of the pan in centimetres. The pan measures 20.4cm. diameter by 6.2cm. deep and the overall length of the pan and handle is 40cm. It is made from a heavy gauge of copper and the steel handle has a very nicely shaped fitting. It is in excellent condition and the interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used.
