A 19th century, French copper pan with pouring spout and a brass handle. Originally this type of pan was made for caramelising sugar but this one has now been tinned as they are ideal for making hot drinks and sauces. It is made from a heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1890. It is in excellent condition and the interior has been tinned so that it can be used. It is quite unusual having a flat brass handle as they usually have a hollow handle.
