An unusual shaped, French copper mixing bowl. This is an early piece of copper, dating from c.1840. It is made from a heavy gauge of copper and it has a rolled rim. There is a steel loop, for hanging, which is attached by a fairly crudely shaped copper fitting. The interior was originally tinned and now, although the tinning is slightly worn, it could still be used. There is slight marking to the copper, from use, but otherwise it is in very good condition.
