A 19th century, French copper pan with pouring spout. Originally this type of pan was made for caramelising sugar but this one has now been tinned as they are ideal for making hot drinks and sauces. It is marked with a number ’18’ which relates to the internal diameter in centimetres. It is made from an exceptionally heavy gauge of copper and the copper has a slightly planished finish. It dates from c.1890 and it is in excellent condition. The interior has been tinned so that it can be used.
