A very heavy, 19th century copper scoop. This would probably have been used for scooping dry ingredients such as grain or flour. It is made from a very heavy gauge of copper and it is French, dating from c.1870. There is a short, carved wooden handle with a steel eyelet in the end for hanging. It is in very good condition.
