Heavy French copper pan

Heavy French copper pan

Code: F19232

SOLD

A very heavy, French copper saucepan with a slightly rounded base. This was made in this form and would be an ideal pan for stir frying. It is made from an exceptionally heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1880. It is engraved with the initials  ‘* B * A *’ and this would be the mark of a previous owner. It is in excellent condition and although it hasn’t been re-tinned the tinning is still in good enough condition for it to be used. The pan measures 23.2cm diameter by 8.5cm high and the overall length, including the handle, is 43.2cm.
