A very good quality, 19th century, French copper saucepan and cover. Both the pan and cover are marked with a number ’22’ which relates to the diameter in centimetres. It is made from a very heavy gauge of copper, which has a planished finish, and it dates from c.1880. The steel handles have attractively shaped fittings and they are attached by copper rivets. It is in excellent condition and the interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used.
