A 19th century, French copper saucepan and cover. This pan is very well made, from a very heavy gauge of copper, and it dates from c.1880. It has the typical form of French steel handles and the flat lid can also be used on pans of a smaller size. The pan is 20.5cm. diameter by 11cm. deep. Overall, including the handles and lid, the piece is 42.5 long by 22.2cm. wide by 17.2cm. high. It is in excellent condition and the interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used.
