A Huge, 19th century, English copper saute pan. This is marked, to the base, “HENRY WILSON & CO. LTD. CORNHILL LIVERPOOL”. Henry Wilson’s company was founded in 1840 mainly for the supplies of kitchenware to ships. This piece dates from c.1860. It is made from a very heavy gauge of copper and has a steel handle. There is very slight pitting to the copper, from use, but otherwise it is in very good condition. The interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used.
Dimensions: Diameter of pan 37cm. Depth of pan 4cm. Overall length of pan and handle 72.5cm.
