A good quality, small, 19th century, English copper saucepan and cover. Both the pan and cover are marked “JONES BROS DOWN ST. W.” in a circle and they date from c.1870. They are made from a heavy gauge of copper and the saucepan has castellated seams around the base and up the side. The steel handles, which have the typical, English, triangular form of fittings, are attached with copper rivets. Both the saucepan and cover are in excellent condition and the interiors have been re-tinned so that they can be used.
