A large, rectangular, French copper casserole. This piece is very well made, from a very heavy gauge of copper. It has castellated seams around the base and up one side and it dates from c. 1860. It has attractive, brass handles to both ends and also to the lid, and these are the typical French shape of handle. It is in excellent condition and the interior has been re-tinned, so that it can be used. The pan itself measures 39.5cm long by 23cm. wide by 15.4cm. deep. Overall, including the handles, it is 50.8cm. long by 25.3cm. wide by 18.5cm. high.
