A lovely quality, 19th century, French copper baking dish. This is very well made, from a very heavy gauge of copper, and it dates from c.1870. It is made from two separate pieces of copper and there is a castellated seam, across the base, which joins the two pieces together. It has a wired rim and there is a well designed brass folding handle attached to one end which, when it folds up, fits neatly around the rim of the dish. The piece is in excellent condition and the interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used.
