A large, French copper, pike or salmon kettle, cover and drainer. This piece is marked, to the side 'MADE IN FRANCE' and it dates from c.1930. This is later than the majority of our copperware but it is a very good quality, usable example. It is made from a very heavy gauge of copper and it has a heavily plannished finish to the copper. There are substantial brass handles, which are the typical French shape, to both ends and also to the lid. It is in excellent condition and the interior has been re-tinned, in the traditional manner, so that it can be used.
