A 19th century, long handled, copper basting spoon. This is made from a heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1870. It has a tuned end to the handle which is shaped like a shepherd’s crook. Originally it would have been tinned all over but the tinning has been removed to reveal the copper beneath. It is in excellent condition.
