An unusual, late 19th century, copper pate or terrine dish. This would have been used for cooking a pate or meat terrine and it could be taken straight to the table. It has a rolled seam and rim and a large brass loop for hanging when it is not in use. It is probably French and it dates from c.1890. It is in very good condition and the tinning is still in good enough condition for it to be used.
