A small, English copper saucepan and cover. The lid is stamped with the manufacturers name ’JONES BROS DOWN ST. W.’  and the pan is stamped with the retailers name ‘HARRODS LTD’. To the base of the pan it is stamped with a large letter ‘C’ and a small, workman’s mark in the shape of a heart. It is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, and it has castellated seams around the base and up the side. It has the typical, English, triangular form of steel handle fittings and it dates from c.1890. It is in excellent condition and the interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used. The pan measures 11.7cm. diameter by 8.8cm deep and the overall length, including the handle, is 24cm. This is the mid sized pan in the fourth image.
