A small, 19th century, French copper preserve pan. This is made from a heavy gauge of copper and the copper has a smooth finish to the exterior and a very slightly planished finish to the exterior. It has the typical, French shape of brass handles to either side and a rolled rim, and it dates from c.1890. There is slight pitting to the copper on the interior of the pan and there are a couple of small dents to the rim, all from use. Otherwise it is in good condition.
