A small, French copper preserve pan. This pan is made from a heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1880. It is a typical French style, with ornate brass handles to either side, a rolled rim and a slightly rounded base. Under one of the handles it is stamped with the number '26' which relates to the internal diameter of the pan in centimetres. This is a particularly small size. There is a little scratching to the copper, on the inside of the base of the pan, from use, and there is very slight denting to the rim. Otherwise, it is in good condition.
