A small, French copper stockpot with a steel, swing handle. This piece is made from a very heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1850. It has castellated seams around the base and up the side and it has quite unusual shaping to the copper handle fittings. It has had a repair just beneath one of the handles so there is now quite a large area of solder. This is visible in one of the images. The interior has been re-tinned, so that it can be used, and the repair does not affect its’ usability.
