A small, English copper saucepan and cover. Both the pan and the lid are stamped with the manufacturers name ’JONES BROS DOWN ST. W.’ . It is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, and it has castellated seams around the base and up the side. It has the typical, English, triangular form of steel handle fittings and it dates from c.1880. It is in excellent condition and the interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used. The pan measures 13cm. diameter by 9.5cm deep and the overall length, including the handle, is 26.5cm. This is the largest of the group of three showing in the fourth image.
