A very unusual, English copper baking dish with a detachable steel handle. This is a beautifully designed piece of cookware. It is basically a roasting dish but the detachable handle enables you to put it in and out of the oven without the use of oven gloves. It could, of course, also be used on top of the stove as a saute or frying pan. It is well made, from a very heavy gauge of copper, and it dates from c.1880. It is in excellent condition and the interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used.
