An unusually small, late nineteenth century, French copper fish kettle and drainer. This is made from a substantial gauge of copper and the copper has a slightly planished finish. It dates from c.1890. It has attractive brass handles to either end, and also to the lid, and is complete with drainer. Both the pan and the lid are beautifully engraved with the initials “H R” and these would be the initials of a previous owner. It is in excellent condition and the tinning, to the interior, is in very good, bright usable condition.
Dimensions: Length of pan 30.8cm. Width 13.5cm. Depth of pan 10cm. Overall length including the handles 39cm. Overall height including the handle 15cm.
