A late nineteenth century, French copper pie plate. This is a good, useful size, being large enough to make a fruit pie for about 12 people. It dates from c.1890, and is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper. It has a fine, brass hanging loop so, when not in use, it can also be decorative. It is in excellent condition and the interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used.
