Very Heavy Victorian Copper Saucepan

Very Heavy Victorian Copper Saucepan

Code: F18512

SOLD

A Victorian copper saucepan and cover. This bears no manufacturers marks but it is English and dates from c.1870. Both the side of the pan, and the lid, are engraved “C.H.H” and these would be the initials of a previous owner. It is well made, from a very heavy gauge of copper, and it has castellated seams around the base and up the side. It has the typical English form of steel handle, with triangular fittings. There is very minor scratching to the copper but otherwise it is in good condition. The interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used.

Dimensions: Diameter of pan 19.4cm. Depth of pan 12.5cm. Overall length of pan and handle 37.8cm.
