A very small, late 19th century copper casserole. This is French and it dates from c.1890. It is stamped with a number ’14’ to both the lid and the side of the pan. 14 relates to the diameter of the pan in centimetres and it is rare to find one so small. It is made from a substantial gauge of copper and has the typical French shape of brass handles to both sides of the pan and also to the lid. It is in excellent condition and the interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used.
