SOLD

A small, English copper saucepan and cover. The lid is stamped with the manufacturers name ’JONES BROS DOWN ST. W.’  The pan was stamped with the retailers name ‘HARRODS LTD’ but this mark is now so worn that it is not really discernible. It is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, and it has castellated seams around the base and up the side. It has the typical, English, triangular form of steel handle fittings and it dates from c.1890. It is in excellent condition and the interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used. The pan measures 10.5cm. diameter by 8cm deep and the overall length, including the handle, is 20.5cm. This is the smallest pan in the fourth image.
