Code: G19933
An unusual, English copper pudding boiler and cover. Both the pan and the lid are marked ‘JONES BROS DOWN ST. W.’ in a circle, and the piece dates from c.1860. It is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, and it has castellated seams. Both the base and the lid have substantial, brass loop handles. This would probably have been used for making a steamed or baked pudding and the tinning, to the interior, is still in good, usable condition.
