A Wedgwood, black basalt cup and saucer. The saucer is marked 'WEDGWOOD ETRURIA ENGLAND'. This mark, which was only used for about 5 years, dates the piece to c.1895. The cup is only marked 'WEDGWOOD'. The saucer is decorated with six scenes of putti and cherubs and the cup has three different classical subjects. All of the reliefs, on both the cup and the saucer, are divided by anthemion.  The reliefs are all good quality and both the cup and saucer are in excellent condition. The saucer measures 13.8cm. diameter by 2.3cm. deep. The cup measures 8.2cm. diameter by 5.8cm. high.
