A large, Wedgwood black basalt bowl. This is marked ”WEDGWOOD” and it dates from c.1880. There is a further impressed mark which is quite indistinct, but is probably a workmans’ mark. The bowl is a lovely shape, with a wide, flared rim. It is perfectly plain, with no decoration, and the basalt is well potted. It is in excellent condition.
