A Wedgwood, black basalt bowl. This bowl is marked 'WEDGWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND' and it dates from c.1920. It also has an impressed number '18', which is possibly a batch number, and a workman's tool mark. It is perfectly plain in form and it is nicely potted, with a smoothness to the basalt. It is in excellent condition.
