A small, Wedgwood black basalt bowl with an inverted rim. Wedgwood produced this shape of bowl in a much larger size but it is rare to find one in such a small size as this. It is marked “WEDGWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND” and it dates from c.1920. It is also impressed with a number ‘3’. The basalt is a lovely, fine, silky smooth quality which is unusual for a piece of this period and the bowl is in perfect condition.
