A very small Wedgwood black basalt seal. This piece is marked 'Wedgwood & Bentley' and it dates from c.1775. It is also impressed with a number '90'. The Wedgwood and Bentley partnership was mainly for the production of the larger, ornamental wares but they did produce a series of seals and each one was numbered. This one is impressed with the head of either a woman or a young man. The moulding is very detailed and the piece is in excellent condition.
Price includes postage within the U.K., Western Europe, and the U.S.A.
