'Harebell and Acanthus' Spill Vases
Dimensions:H: 17.2cm (6.8")Di: 7.8cm (3.1")
An attractive pair of Wedgwood, dark blue jasper dip spill vases. Each of these vases has impressed marks 'WEDGWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND' and they both also have a number '7', which relates to the size, and a letter 'A'. They both also have another mark which is like two brackets, in reverse, together. These marks can all be seen in one of the images. The vases date from c.1920. They are decorated, in relief with flowers and leaves and the design is know as the 'Harebell and Acanthus'. Above this are garlands of flowers hanging from ram's hands and to the rim is a border of scrolling flowers. Both the vases are in excellent condition. The reliefs are good quality and the jasper dip is a good, rich shade of blue.
