A lovely quality, small Wedgwood dish. This is decorated in the same manner as the 19th century cabinet plates, which were always of the finest quality, but it is unusually small in size. It is marked “WEDGWOOD” and it dates from c.1860. There is also an impressed number ‘5’ which relates to the size in inches. It is decorated with a central relief which shows the anointing of Pegasus. This is surrounded by two borders of grapes and vines. All of the reliefs are very good quality and the jasper dip is a rich shade of blue.
It is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Diameter 12.8cm. Depth 3cm.
