A large, dark blue jasper dip, trumpet shaped bough pot and liner. This piece was designed to be used for arranging flowers. The pierced inner lid held the boughs of flowers in place and hence they were known as bough pots. This one is marked 'WEDGWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND' and it dates from c.1920. It is also impressed with a number '8' which relates the the height in inches. It is decorated with a continuous band of classical figures and trees and has a border of grapes and vines to the foot and a border of flowers to the rim. All of the reliefs are very good quality and the jasper dip is a lovely, rich shade of blue. Both the vase and cover are in excellent condition.
