A Wedgwood, miniature, dark blue jasper dip jug. This is impressed “WEDGWOOD” and there is also a large number “2” which relates to the height of the jug in inches. For some reason the Wedgwood marked has been impressed twice but the one impression is less distinct. It dates from c.1860. It is quite rare to find this shape of jug, from this period, in miniature. It is decorated with classical figures and scroll borders and all of the reliefs are very good quality. The jasper dip is a rich shade of blue.
The jug is in perfect condition.
